Reduced operating cost by 25% for Enzen by providing critical business support for AWS infrastructure

Enzen is a consulting, technology, engineering, management and innovation services company focused on gaining, refining, and sharing expertise in the energy and utility sector, providing strategic advice and implementing outcome-driven solutions. Working with customers across the utility value chain, they deliver sustainable and lasting improvements in terms of efficiency and performance, adding value to their bottom line.

Enzen wanted to keep pace with the ever-increasing customer expectations and address the challenge of ageing utility infrastructure that failed to meet the evolving regulatory requirements. They partnered with Microland to offer digital solutions deployed on a hybrid cloud infrastructure for its customers. Designed for both existing and renewable sources of energy, these solutions can work across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, including Amazon Web Services and other hybrid cloud environments.

Enzen specifically wanted to achieve a 20% reduction in its operating costs to meet the GD2 requirements and meet ISO 27001 service compliance.

Assessing the portfolio of IT services and workloads, Microland suggested the strategy to manage critical business services hosted on AWS cloud along with additional data center business migration to cloud. The engagement support model included a 24 x 7 x 365 support window with AWS Platform Management, Vulnerability and Patch Management, Release Management, Availability, and Capacity Management.
