Private 5G

Redefining the enterprise transformation journey roadmap with private 5G

With the advent of 5G and its promise of transforming entire business models for Communication Service Providers (CSP), the role of private wireless networks in redefining connectivity is even more important. A private wireless network utilizes 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) technologies such as LTE and 5G.

The infrastructure may be procured, owned, and operated by a non-CSP entity, which includes enterprises, governments, and other types of institutions. These networks tend to be independent and isolated from a CSP’s public network. It is, typically, installed on the entity’s premises and is utilized to provide dedicated connectivity for a broad range of network use cases. Part of the network may also be residing on cloud, based on the business demands.

Global enterprises are piloting private 5G networks in their specific environments to experience firsthand the potential benefits it delivers to business use cases. In a controlled environment, private 5G offers superior performance over fiber cables and Wi-Fi especially when there is a higher density of access points. This makes it an ideal option for high-speed and low-latency connectivity that enables enterprises to connect multiple IoT endpoints including surveillance cameras, sensor-integrated machines, and mission critical infrastructure. When coupled with AI, private 5G implementations can aid predictive maintenance, autonomous agents, AR/MR for field service agents, remote asset monitoring, and many more business use cases.

Microland private 5G services helps clients identify, design, deploy, and manage solutions for enterprise edge connectivity. We work closely with the client's enterprise technology teams to analyze enterprise environments and critically evaluate all available technology choices. As an ecosystem integrator, Microland would bring together the right balance of technology expertise to deliver wireless networks to meet the business requirements and create value in a connected economy.
